4K UHD used to work fine on Prime Video when side loaded on Mi Box. It stopped working about an year back. Now, with 4.13.3-googleplay-armv7a, 4K UHD is back. Even HDR works!
Now, when you login for the first time on this app, it recognises the Mi Box as Xioami set top box. Earlier it used to recognsie the device as nVidia Shield.
Looks like Prime Video will soon be officially supported on Mi Box(It is already supported on latest Mi TVs in India).

I was at a Google summit recently and an Amazon Prime Video representative was even on stage, presenting the service and doing a small Q&A.
They said they wanted the service into as many devices as possible as they want to expand worldwide.
Now, a simple certification is still needed but it's easy to pass and it doesn't take too much time to get it.
That reminds me, need to upgrade the lady's Mi Box to this latest version.
EDIT: Confirmed! It does show it as a Xiaomi Set-top box in the registered device menu on the Mi Box.
I've started a trial account but I can't login username and password with 4.13.3 with my mi box s. I can access to content with add device option in the app but I don't think it's working fine. All the videos play shitty resolution like 240p. I can login and play fine on my computer and my phone.
What should I do ?

Out of curiosity - if you use the ios prime video app to cast to the miibox via chrome cast - will it output 4k?
I can confirm this update is working for me as well. Getting both UltraHD and HDR content. If they added auto frame rate switching, that would complete the set for me.
