The disaster known as Google Play Music and/or Youtube Music is worth it for ad free regular Youtube alone.
Not a problem if you run Smart YouTube apk.
I guess now we know why Leanback is getting axed. It would have been easy to block masthead in Leanback, can't block it in an app.
And it has audio on from the start... Fucking annoying.

The YouTube TV UI is one of the worst I’ve ever used. It’s marginally better on my Shield TV than my Apple one, but both are shocking in just about every way, the old material design YouTube app for Android TV was so much more functional.
This is why I use Smart YouTube TV .
They could put it inline with the category rows and it would be a lot less intrusive then right at top.
With YouTube music getting better I’ll gladly keep my sub for Red/Music.
Guess I will have to keep my YT premium active , I hate that there is no alternative for YT TV like Vance's for mobiles also it does not have shuffle for playlist
