Sideloading on a Mi Box S

Can anyone think of a way to sideload an apk without having access to the google play store? I mean on a brand new mi box s.

You could activate developer mode with usb debugging, connect to a computer (male-male USB-A) and install from cmd with adb install commands.

Very easy..

  1. Down load Send File to TV app from Play store.
  2. Download APK to phone.
  3. Download Send File to TV on Phone as well.
  4. Connect through same wifi.
  5. Boom.. Superfast transfer to TV.
  6. Enable install via unknown sources in Settings of Mi Box.
  7. Install.
  8. Enjoy!

You can download apk on your mobile and you can use cetus play app on your mobile to install your apk. I think even es file explorer can do direct apk install via androidtv tab

If it has a browser on it like puffin browser you can download es explorer.
