I recently bought a Phillips ambilight TV.
I've been trying to cast my phone YouTube video on the TV.
The Chromecast symbol appears, and the TV is appearing. Tapping Phillips TV seems to confirm its being cast. The YouTube casting ui appears and shows its casting on the TV - but nothing is happening on the TV.
Can anyone help?
I've tried updating the app in settings section and clearing cache. Nothing seems to be working
Do you have the TV on the "smart interface" and not on an HDMI input or something like that?
Mine so didn't function properly from te start. After it updated it worked like a charm
Yeah YouTube app doesn't get along with Philips TVs, you can make it work but it will fail when you least expect it. I use Web Video Caster for casting, works flawlessly with my Philips TV
I have had similar issues before. A restart of the android tv usually fixes it. I have a 65put7303.
What is the build info in the Settings -> About Device panel?
