About 24 hrs in liking Android

by KyleGrizz

I came from Roku where the ecosystem is huge so that's the only gripe so far. I had to sideload apps like Mediafire and even Google Drive. I do like I can use a VPN and search the web on it with relative ease (as long as I have the keyboard)

It just blows my mind there are so few devices with Chromecast built-in. I am really excited to see what Nvida churns out as far as new devices go. Is there any idea what they might be?

Most Sony TVs will have android built in, but like most things, support kinda sucks. nVidia really showed people how to support a device, originally came with Android 5.X, but recently got Android 9.0.

Nvidia IMO is making a new gaming device for their GeForce now/gamestream, along with a cheap(er) TV only device to compete with Amazon or Xiaomi offerings. I mean Amazon is selling ftv 4k sticks that support HDR for under $45 Canadian/$34USD. Unless someone wants the specific shield features I can't recommend a device that's literally $184 more with a sub-par remote and online only retailers.

You mean Set Top Boxes? The current trend is the Nvidia, Xiaomi MiBox S, MeeCool and other getting Netflix certification

Im liking it too. Came from FireTV where there are ads and featured content everywhere that you cant get rid of even as a prime member.

Android TV is clean and I can take off the stuff I dont want... no mess. Not sure why its not as popular as the other platforms. I would be nice to see other platforms support it like they do with FireTV and Roku
