Looking for an androidTV box, Should I wait for the Firestick 4K to come out?

by -AgentMichaelScarn-

I'm in a country where amazon doesn't sell the 4K version, the basic one costs 30$ but without volume control it doesn't seem like a bargain. I don't plan to use it in 4K but i'm afraid the basic version wont be powerfull enough for iptv and plex.

I'd like to buy something in this range, the 70$ mi Box is just to expensive where I live.

I guess it's not exactly an androidTv device but because it runs on the same OS i'd like your opinion.

Thanks

Edit: downvotes? I'm sorry if thats not the place for this kind of questions... At least tell me if i'm saying something stupid.

So you want a 4K streaming device but the extremely cheap Mi Box is outside your budget?

How about a Chromecast Ultra.

The 1080p versions also have the volume and on/off tv controls. There really isnt enough content out there to bother with 4k imo.

I bought the 4K stick because a lot of people say it’s just faster and smoother overall - like the interface is not laggy like the regular version. I’m also on just 1080. Kodi and Retroarch run well too. I don’t do iptv though so I can’t say what that’s like.

I like it more than my Chromecast but there’s not as much support for casting on the Firestick it seems. Only the big apps seem to support it (Netflix, Youtube).
