Yes, as long as it's official and not a knock off. Same with wireless 360 controller w/ wireless receiver for PC. Official ones work 100% knock off ones have issues.
I've only ever used the 360 controllers (wireless and wired) for gaming on my SHIELD since I got it in 2015.
