Does the Hisense H8F series read NTFS Drives?

Trying to find out if the Hisense H8F tv series can read a NTFS drive for files on it.

Update 07/29/2019: Purchased a 50H8F from BestBuy. Can confirm it read files from a NTFS drive, used a 4TB WD.

However only the default media player reads files. Apps like Kodi or VLC can see the drive but not access it. This is most likely due to a bug in Oreo, as seen in other discussions.

Yes, I have 65” Hisense 65H8E 4K LED HDR and reads my 5 TB Seagate NTFS Formatted drive just fine. Plays UHD movies perfectly. Excellent TV.

No but it allows USB drives to connect to it. I do have a seperate Android box connected to it
