Grabbed the manual update package from Sony's support site. Will be installing on my KDL-55W800C shortly...
edit . Not the Oreo update other TVs are apparently getting. Still 7.0, but moved from a December 2017 to September 2018 security patch.
Still wish I could buy a good dumb TV and just stick a Mibox on it.

For the x900e, They have a new bar on the featured apps section that details the new upcoming update. Apparently it changes the UI as well as many other things

OK... Don't know if this thread is still alive... But, I received the update to my x900f today... just started playing with it so other than "it's all different" not much to say... Though, I do think that Netflix 4k was sharper when watching The Last Kingdom this afternoon...
BUT, seems that they chose to move the built in Programming Guide from the Guide button, which now by default is the Set-Top Box guide... Does anyone know of a way to change this back? Or if there is a quick-launch available for the built-in guide?
